Thank you for purchasing the Panther Type 2 Ambulance.
This is a collaboration project between Seba Serpente - S2 and Lares Carter - HD.
If you are experiencing any problems with your product, please be sure that you have read this manual in its entirety and you fully understand its contents.
If at any point this manual does not help you please join the HD Emergency Equipment and supplies group and ask your question within the group chat.
Alternatively you can also join the HD Discord Server and ask your question in the #helpdesk channel.

2) Main Menu

2.1 Kick

This button allows you to eject a passenger out of the vehicle.

2.2 Manual

This button will give you a link to the online Manual, which you are reading right now.

2.3 Report

This will send a text report to your local chat in regards to the vehicle's status.
The report shows you who last drove the vehicle and the time at which they sat down.
It also shows the same information for the last person to operate the pump panel.
It will also display the vehicle's fuel status and total driven miles.

2.4 Restock

This will restock all equipment of the vehicle in case any of it was lost.
It will also replace the stretcher in the patient area of the Ambulance.

2.5 Modular HUD

This vehicle is compatible with the HD Modular HUD, which is distributed by a centralized server within Second Life.
To receive a copy of the latest version simply select 'Modular HUD' in the main menu of your vehicle.
Alternatively you can click on the Vehicle Manual in the glove box of the cab.
The Modular HUD allows you to control all of the functions of your vehicle.
It will display different buttons and controls based on which spot you are sitting on.
An automatic sync to your vehicle is performed when attaching the HUD or sitting down.

2.6 Gear HUD

This vehicle is compatible with the HD Gear HUD, which is distributed by a centralized server within Second Life.
To get a copy of the latest version simply select 'Gear HUD' in the main menu of your vehicle.
The Gear HUD handles most of the equipment on the HD Vehicles.
You will not be able to use the compatible equipment without having the Gear HUD attached.

3) Owner Only


3.1 Customize

The customize menu allows you to change various settings for the appearance of your vehicle.
Depending on the selection you can either select a stock option or apply your own custom textures or colors.
For further information about Custom Textures and Decals please check the respective manual section.

3.2 Access

This menu allows you to change the vehicle's permissions on who can operate it.
There are two levels of access: Crew and Passenger.
Crew includes the Driver, Front Passenger and Medic.
Passenger allows to sit in any of the passenger seats or lay on the stretcher.
You may set each to Owner, Group or Anyone.
Group includes all members of the group that the vehicle is set to.

To further restrict the access the truck supports the use of a whitelist.
With the whitelist you can add specific people to the Crew role.
Only usernames can be used for the whitelist.
For accounts without a last name you only have to enter the first name.
Display Names are not supported as they are subject to frequent changes.

3.3 Options

This menu allows you to change the vehicle's miscellaneous settings such as:
- Toggling Fuel System On/Off
- Renaming the vehicle
- Changing the Anti-Roll-Over (ARO) System Settings
- Installing Custom Sound UUIDs
- Adjusting Turn Radius Setting
- Adjusting Brake Strength Setting
- Setting a website URL for the Clipboard below the Action Area
- Setting up the Script API
- Changing the Odometer Reading
- Disabling the Health Pack ECG
- Toggling Extras on the Panther X-Version


4) Equipment

You need to wear the HD Gear HUD in order to use any of the equipment.
You can click on most of the items in the compartments to grab a copy.
The equipment will temp-attach directly to your avatar.
Some of the equipment can only be taken once and will restore to the vehicle when detached while in the same region.
If any of the equipment goes missing then you can select 'Options' > 'Restock' in the vehicle menu to restore it.

4.2 HD Medical Stretcher

This vehicle is equipped with the HD Medical Stretcher.
Two modes of operation are available for the Stretcher: Linked and Unlinked.
For detailed information on how to operate the stretcher please read the Stretcher Manual.

4.3 S2 Health Pack 21

This vehicle is equipped with the S2 Health Pack 21.
It's an Electrocardiogram (ECG) with an Automated External Defibrillator (AED) mode.
For detailed usage information please read the Health Pack Manual.


5) Chat Commands / Gestures

The vehicle listens on channel 2569 to the active driver and officer.
A pack of compatible gestures is available from the Modular HUD

The following commands are supported:
Signal Left [Ctrl+Left] = sigL
Signal Right [Ctrl+Right] = sigR
Hazard Lights [Ctrl+Up] = sigH
Camera [1-9] = cam1 - cam9

6) Textures

This vehicle comes with full templates for the body.
You can find them online: HD Templates
The body textures have to be saved as JPG in order to display properly.

To apply your custom paintjob textures:
1) Click on the body of the Ambulance to bring up the main menu
2) Select 'Customize', 'Custom UUID' and then 'Paintjob'
3) Enter the UUID for your custom paintjob texture

All decal textures have to be saved as PNG with a full transparent background.
For the decals you can enter 'None' to display no texture.

Decal Areas:
Cab Left: applied to the driver side door of the cab, aspect ratio is 1:1 (512x512).
Cab Right: applied to the passenger side door of the cab, aspect ratio is 1:1 (512x512).
Box Decal: merged texture that is applied to the rear sides and roof, aspect ratio is 1:2 (512x1024).
Rear Left: applied to rear left door window, aspect ratio is 2:1 (512x256).
Rear Right: applied to rear right door window, aspect ratio is 2:1 (512x256).



7) HD Theme Box 3

This vehicle is fully compatible with the HD ThemeBox3.
You can edit the basic HD ThemeBox3 that came packaged with this truck.
The Vehicle Parameter has to be set to the following: HD Panther Type 2

The following Parameters are supported by this vehicle:
ThemeBox = UUID of texture that should appear on side of the HD ThemeBox
Texture Body = UUID of paintjob texture
Decal DoorL = UUID of driver side door decal texture
Decal DoorR = UUID of passenger side door decal texture
Decal Box = UUID of box sides and roof decal texture
Decal RearL = UUID of rear left door window decal texture
Decal RearR = UUID of rear right door window decal texture
Color Base = RGB-Color-Vector of base coat for paintjob
Color Wheels = RGB-Color-Vector of wheel hubs
Color Cushion = RGB-Color-Vector of rear area cushions
Color Floor = RGB-Color-Vector of rear area floor
Color Stretcher Frame = RGB-Color-Vector of stretcher frame rails
Color Stretcher Cushion = RGB-Color-Vector of stretcher cushions
Freebie = TRUE or FALSE. If set to TRUE then no next owner permission warnings are given.

All of those parameters are optional, you can leave any of them if you do not want to overwrite that particular setting.

8) Script API

This vehicle comes with a simple Script API.
To activate it click on the body of the vehicle and select 'Options' > 'Script API'
Now enter the channel you want to use to send the commands.
Leave it blank to deactivate the Script API.
The owner of the sending object has to match the owner of the vehicle.

The following commands are supported:
DEREZ
the vehicle will derez
SET POS;(vector)
the vehicle will move to the given region position
SET ROT;(rotation)
the vehicle will change to the given global rotation
SET POS ROT;(vector);(rotation)
the vehicle will move to the given region position and global rotation

The vehicle will reply to each command by repeating it plus an integer for the execution status.

Example:
Object sends: SET POS ROT;<128.0, 128.0, 32.0>;<0.0, 0.0, 0.0, 1.0>
Vehicle will reply:
SET POS ROT;1 when the move and rotate was possible
SET POS ROT;0 when something hindered the movement
